Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Benjamin Bala, an individual sole proprietor operating as “Prayora” (“Prayora,” “we,” “us”), based at Regus, 724 Umaru Dikko Street, Jabi, Abuja 900108, Nigeria, governing your use of the Prayora mobile application and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use Prayora. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

Prayora is a personal devotional tool that helps you pray in your own voice, surfaces scripture, and reflects your declarations of faith back to you. It is a private space between you and God.

Prayora is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, psychiatric, financial, legal, or pastoral advice, and it does not provide such services. Content in the Service, including AI-generated prayers and scripture selections, is for personal devotional and reflective purposes only.

If you are in crisis or may be a danger to yourself or others, Prayora is not an emergency service. Please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line immediately.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@prayora.app if you suspect unauthorized use. You may delete your account at any time from within the app, which permanently removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data, or to breach or circumvent security or rate limits.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the Service or our APIs, or use them to build a competing product.
• Submit content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes the rights of others.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe create risk or legal exposure.

Prayers, declarations, scripture selections, and related content are generated in part by artificial intelligence. While we strive for quality, AI output may contain inaccuracies or wording you disagree with, and it does not represent authoritative theological, doctrinal, or denominational instruction. Prayora is a mirror for your own faith, and you are responsible for how you understand and use the content. Use your own judgment and consult trusted sources where appropriate.

You retain ownership of the content you create or provide, including your prayers, declarations, and the feelings you share (“Your Content”). You grant Prayora a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (for example, to generate a prayer, save your history, or sync across your devices). We do not use Your Content to train AI models unless you opt in. We handle Your Content as described in our Privacy Policy.

Prayora offers a free tier and paid subscriptions (for example, monthly and annual “Go Deeper” plans, and a community plan). Current features and prices are shown in the app and on our pricing page and may change over time.

• Where you pay. Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play (processed via our provider, RevenueCat), subject to those stores’ terms.
• Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• Managing & cancelling. You manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app alone does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds. Payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law or by the applicable app store’s policies; refunds are handled by the store, not by Prayora.

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content we provide (excluding Your Content and third-party content), is owned by Prayora and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial devotional use, subject to these Terms.

The Service integrates third-party services (for example, Spotify for worship music, and the Apple App Store and Google Play for purchases and notifications). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRAYORA AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD $50.

You agree to indemnify and hold Prayora harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email and update the date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

If you are a consumer located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory local consumer-protection laws, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
