Your data
Delete your account
Your prayers are yours. You can take them with you, and you can erase them, at any time and without asking anyone.
Last updated: August 14, 2026
1. Delete it yourself, in the app
This is the fastest way, and it is immediate. There is no request to approve and no waiting.
- Open Prayora and make sure you are signed in.
- On Home, tap your initial in the top left corner. That opens your account.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and its contents are erased at once.
If you would like to keep a copy of your prayers first, tap Privacy and data on the same screen and choose Export my data before you delete. Once the account is gone we cannot recover any of it.
2. If you cannot open the app
If you have lost access to your device or cannot sign in, email privacy@prayora.app from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it.
If you prayed as a guest. A guest account is held on the device that created it and carries no email address or name, so there is nothing we can match a request against. Deleting the app removes your side of it, and the account is erased along with the device data it was tied to. If you would rather we removed it from our side as well, open the app once more and delete the account from the screen described above, or claim the account with an email address first and then write to us.
We may ask you one or two questions to confirm the account is yours. We do this because the contents are private prayers, and handing them to the wrong person, or erasing the right person’s account on somebody else’s word, are both failures we take seriously.
Once we have confirmed it is your account, we complete the deletion within 30 days, and usually within a few days. We will write to you when it is done.
3. What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account is erased permanently. There is no archive, no soft delete, and no way for us to restore it afterwards.
- Your email address, name, and password
- Every prayer session, including the feelings you shared, the acknowledgments, the passages, and the prayers themselves
- Every declaration you have ever saved
- Your streak, your figures, and your reflection history
- Your journey progress and any notes you wrote along the way
- Your preferences and your consent settings, including the voice personalization and model training choices
- Your notification tokens, so the app stops reaching your device
- Your subscription record on our side
- Any prayers written in your own voice that were being used to personalize prayers back to you
4. What is not deleted, and why
Three things sit outside the account deletion. We would rather say so plainly here than have you find out later.
Links you chose to share. When you share a declaration, those words are stored separately so the link can be short. That entry is encrypted and carries no account identifier at all, which means we genuinely cannot find it from your account in order to delete it. It expires on its own one year after it was created. If you want a specific link taken down sooner, send it to us and we will remove it.
Your subscription keeps billing until you cancel it. Prayora subscriptions are charged by Google Play or the App Store, not by us, so deleting your Prayora account does not cancel the subscription and does not issue a refund. Cancel it in the store first: on Android, Play Store, then your profile, then Payments and subscriptions. On iPhone, Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions.
Limited records we are required to keep. Where the law obliges us to retain something, for example a record that a transaction took place, we keep only that minimum and nothing of what you prayed. Deleted data may also persist in encrypted infrastructure backups for up to 30 days before those backups roll off, after which it is gone from there too.
5. Who you are asking
Prayora is provided by Benjamin Bala, an individual sole proprietor trading as “Prayora,” based at Regus, 724 Umaru Dikko Street, Jabi, Abuja 900108, Nigeria. The Android app is published under the package name com.prayora.
Full detail on how your data is handled while the account is open is in the Privacy Policy. Questions about any of this go to privacy@prayora.app.
