A Prayer for Direction
Feeling lost is one of the loneliest experiences there is. Every option looks the same, and the fear of choosing wrong keeps you from choosing at all. God does not usually hand over the whole map. He gives the next step. This prayer asks for exactly that.
God, I do not know which way to go, and I am tired of pretending I do.
I have run the options a hundred times and I still cannot see around the corner. But you can. You see the roads I cannot see and the endings I cannot predict.
I am not asking for the whole plan tonight. I am asking for the next step, and the courage to take it when you show me.
Make my path straight, not because I figured it out, but because I trusted you with the figuring. Lead me. I will walk. Amen.

Why this matters
A lamp for your feet lights the next few steps, not the next few years. That is how God tends to guide: enough light to move, not enough to skip trusting him. Praying for direction is less about extracting answers and more about staying close enough to hear the next one.
