A moment for goals

A Prayer for Your Goals

You have something you are building: a goal, a dream, a plan you keep coming back to. Ambition is not the opposite of faith. Prayed over, it becomes partnership. This prayer brings your goals into the room where they belong.

Father, you know the dream I keep turning over in my mind. You knew it before I could name it.

Today I am committing this goal to you. Not just the outcome, but the work itself. The early mornings, the setbacks, the progress nobody sees.

Give me diligence when motivation runs out, and humility when things go well. If this dream needs redirecting, redirect it. I would rather walk your path slowly than sprint down my own.

Establish the work of my hands. I will plant and water faithfully, and I will trust you with the growing. Amen.

Scripture for this moment

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

Proverbs 16:3

May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us.

Psalm 90:17

He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:6

Why this matters

Praying over your goals does two things at once. It keeps ambition from becoming an idol, and it keeps discouragement from becoming an ending. A goal committed to God can survive both success and failure, because its foundation was never the outcome. It was the partnership.

Common questions

Is it okay to pray about career and personal goals?

Yes. Proverbs 16:3 invites you to commit whatever you do to the Lord. God cares about the work of your hands, and prayer is how ambition stays connected to purpose.

What if my goal does not happen even after praying?

Unanswered is not the same as unheard. Sometimes God redirects, sometimes he delays, and sometimes he is building something in you before he builds something through you. Keep praying honestly, including about the disappointment.

Pray it in your own words

A written prayer is a doorway, not a destination. Prayora is the private, daily space to speak to God in your own voice, and keep what you said.
