A Prayer for Strength
There is a particular exhaustion that comes from fighting to keep going: in a job, a marriage, a recovery, a calling. If your strength is running out before your days do, you are exactly who this prayer is for. Grace was designed for the moment strength fails.
Father, I am fighting to keep going, and I will not hide that from you.
My strength keeps running out before the day does. I keep pouring from a cup I have not let you refill.
You said your power is made perfect in weakness. So here is my weakness, all of it. Not cleaned up. Just offered.
Renew my strength the way you promised: wings like eagles, running without growing weary. And if today all I can do is walk and not faint, let that be enough. Hold me up. I am not letting go. Amen.
